This umbrella is very poor quality. It seems that one thing about it broke every week as I used it. the handle is plastic and on the first day it got scratched and left permanent marks. Then the strap broke. Then the locking mechanism popped out. Then the whole water sheild and the pole became detached as you can see in photo one, it’s able to slide up and down the pole. Un-usable.If you only use umbrellas very occasionally or for cosmetic uses this may be for you. But if you plan to use it regularly then it will not last as the quality it poor.

Was delighted when the umbrella arrived as it appeared sturdy and large enough to handle the autumn rain.However, on the second time that I expanded it the metal clip that’s supposed to secure it in a folded position fell out (I was able to reinsert it) but on the third time the canvas broke off from the top of the stick, completely breaking it.

Got this size because my wife and I often walk together, not disappointed with the size at all. We both fit under comfortably. Action is as smooth as you’d like, and, although I’ve yet to use it in earnest it looks well engineered enough with so many ribs, looks as though it will cope well with extremes. Look forward to many years of use; so long as I don’t lose it…Amendment: bought on 8th September 2018 today I noticed the handle was cracked down opposing sides, with nothing more than a gentle tug the handle came off. So, unfortunately, the many years of use I expected did not come to fruition. I shall, of course, attempt to repair it and use more than the sparse amount of glue I found when the handle was off.

Was happy with the first impression, then I had one night where it rained and I had to use it. Unfortunately there was a light wind as you can expect in London’s central and the umbrella turned inside out and the pins bent so it’s unrepairable. It was too late to return it so basically I just wasted my money. If there is any sort of wind where you are, not strong wind, just normal wind that accompanies rain, don’t get it as it will likely end up the same way mine did, in the trash after only a couple uses.

Having owned/used various umbrella types in my lifetime, I can honestly say this is the best. Collapsible ones are great for saving space but aren’t particularly good at keeping you dry in a downpour. Golf umbrellas are great for two of you but, well, look a bit naff if you’re not on a golf course.The Royal Walk umbrella is light enough to carry, especially in its own case with shoulder strap, opens easily at the touch of a button and is plenty big enough to keep me and my wife dry or, if we’re pushing our grandchild in a pushchair, keeps most of the rain off us all. Not been used in really windy weather but have no doubt the build quality would handle it.Overall, an excellent product.

It’s a typical umbrella. Twice I’ve used it in strong winds and twice it survived. It’s sturdy enough to be used as a makeshift walking stick if in trouble, and it’s large enough to cover you and a back pack. Not big enough for two to share unless your both skinny. Good buy, nice investment piece.

The Umbrella is sturdy and feels well made, the only thing that lets it down is the quality of the shoulder carry bag, it’s really handy having this as you can sling it over your shoulder on your way out, the stitching split on mine within the first week, I’ve re-stiched it and so far it’s holding. I think I’ve been using this umbrella about a month. And by “using” I mean “carrying with me”, as it hasn’t been raining much so I’ve only proper used it on a handful of occasions.The good:The umbrella itself seems well enough made, and protected me from rain well – as expected. It looks good and was just the size I wanted. So far I’m happy with it.The bad:The umbrella has a cover. Part of the reason I got the umbrella was because the cover has a strap, which would allow me to put it over my shoulder like a rucksack. And that’s just what I did. Used it like that for a couple weeks while commuting. Then the strap broke; or rather, the stitching came undone while I was walking, causing the umbrella to fall on the pavement. Now I can’t use the cover anymore as it has a broken strap dangling from it, and more importantly it’s no longer “portable”, or at least hands-free.Fast forward another 2 weeks, and I’ve been carrying the umbrella (like a chump!) on the daily commute. (I should mention I only commute 3 days a week on the train so it’s hardly an excessive strain on the item.) Lo and behold, I suddenly realise the stitching holding the velcro on that little piece of fabric which holds the umbrella closed (whatever that’s called) has nearly completely undone itself as well. That stitching again! It’s about 2/3rds off as I write this. When it comes fully off, I won’t be able to use the umbrella anymore because it won’t hold itself closed when I’m out. What would it have cost to make the stitching a little better? I recently threw away an old broken Fulton umbrella which I must have had for nearly 10 years, and the stitching on the piece that holds the umbrella closed was still good as new.Anyway. 4 stars for umbrella (can’t give 5 as too early), -2 for shoddy stitching. I’ll probably end up supergluing the velcro or something…

My immediate impressions on rxing the umbrella was that it was good quality with a great handle. However on first use one of the rivets connecting two of the umbrella spokes dropped out. I wish manufactures would use one solid piece of metal for the operation Button. On this Umbrella it was plastic and cracked from the manufacturer. The plastic button was attached to a metal latch and that makes week. O yes they made it look like metal and now it is costing me to post it back. Just shows you that pictures can get it wrong.

My pitiful travel umbrella which could neatly fit inside my winter coat pocket broke due to strong winds and I decided it was time to transition to a real umbrella seeing as I walk 2 miles to and from work every day and naturally do not want to get wet, especially since it rains a lot in England. This umbrella is massive, I’m relatively short at 5’4″ and very slim, this keeps me well protected all around, I no longer have fear of getting wet walking to work even if it is pouring down really bad. If the wind is really strong sometimes I do have trouble trying to control the umbrella, but that’s natural physics, right? I expect this umbrella will stand the test of time because it is very durable. Additional points for style with the wooden handle giving a more mature middle class look.

I have 2 kids and we broke so many umbrellas already I stopped counting them… And all of them claimed to be sturdy but after the 3rd use, there is already something wrong… Either it close mechanism or something else brakes. BUT after I bought Royal walk really big umbrella I don’t have such problems!Actually several really heavy rains happened right after I bought it and it acted GREAT! The last time I had to take my kid to kinder garden and it started pouring outside while I was driving. When I stopped not really close to the garden I opened the umbrella and took my little girl and she was carrying the umbrella. The first one of these that I purchased had a roll pin missing from one of the lifting ribs so basically one of the short arms just flopped about. I returned it for a refund. But on researching various models around I decided to give this one another go hoping that it was just a one off fault. The next one arrived and of course I checked all the roll pins which seemed to be fine on this new one. I am not a big fan of roll pins and prefer solid rivets. I understand why roll pins are used in order to keep the weight down. This being a large umbrella obviously benefits from reduced weight.I find the umbrella just slightly too long to act as a walking stick but again that is a trade off for having such a large canopy. The large canopy is exactly what I was looking for so no argument there.The fabric appears to be of a good quality and obviously has a waterproofing quality as the water beads quite well.The automatic opening also works quite well as does the manual closing latch which engages easily. A quick spin and most of the rain water shakes off.When extended the fabric is tight and covers two people comfortably. I can’t really comment on the wind capability because what little wind I experienced did not seem to be a problem even though it is a big umbrella.Overall a good buy

It lacks a grub screw or something of that effect so the actually umbrella part under strong wind can actually move down the shaft of the umbrella. The guarantee really is hassle free.The umbrella is ok but certainly not wind proof. The handle is easy to scratch off the dark paint leaving white lines which looks unpleasant.I had to return this item as the umbrella detached from the pole when closing. This was with light use at most 2 times a week for 5-10 minutes.Amazon have been great as usual providing a full refund with which I bought another at a similar price point but the quality is worlds better.

It is a well put together umbrella, but there’s nothing extraordinary about it. I had hoped there might be something a little more innovative in terms of materials or design features, it wasn’t cheap, after all. But all the components are basically the same as have been in umbrellas for a long time now, some of them are weak points that will, in my experience, fail in certain circumstances, but I don’t know what the solution is. Yet. It’s got a two year guarantee, which is some comfort.

The many ribs contribute to the sturdiness of this umbrella. On occasion I though a high gust of wind would invert it, as has with other umbrellas I have owned, instead I had to hang on contemplating Mary Poppins moments and watching as the ribs flexed and coped amiably. I think I’ve been using this umbrella about a month. And by “using” I mean “carrying with me”, as it hasn’t been raining much so I’ve only proper used it on a handful of occasions.The good:The umbrella itself seems well enough made, and protected me from rain well – as expected. It looks good and was just the size I wanted. So far I’m happy with it.The bad:The umbrella has a cover. Part of the reason I got the umbrella was because the cover has a strap, which would allow me to put it over my shoulder like a rucksack. And that’s just what I did. Used it like that for a couple weeks while commuting. Then the strap broke; or rather, the stitching came undone while I was walking, causing the umbrella to fall on the pavement. Now I can’t use the cover anymore as it has a broken strap dangling from it, and more importantly it’s no longer “portable”, or at least hands-free.Fast forward another 2 weeks, and I’ve been carrying the umbrella (like a chump!) on the daily commute. (I should mention I only commute 3 days a week on the train so it’s hardly an excessive strain on the item.) Lo and behold, I suddenly realise the stitching holding the velcro on that little piece of fabric which holds the umbrella closed (whatever that’s called) has nearly completely undone itself as well. That stitching again! It’s about 2/3rds off as I write this. When it comes fully off, I won’t be able to use the umbrella anymore because it won’t hold itself closed when I’m out. What would it have cost to make the stitching a little better? I recently threw away an old broken Fulton umbrella which I must have had for nearly 10 years, and the stitching on the piece that holds the umbrella closed was still good as new.Anyway. 4 stars for umbrella (can’t give 5 as too early), -2 for shoddy stitching. I’ll probably end up supergluing the velcro or something…

I bought this umbrella almost two years ago and it was working perfectly fine even in windy weather conditions. It has a large diameter therefore protects almost entire body from the rain and is also great for couples.Unfortunately in February it broken down from heavy wind (the main rod and supporting trusses buckled). I contacted the Royal Walk Umbrellas and they replaced my broken umbrella with new one. The entire process was very quick and extremely friendly. I can only recommend this company. The umbrella is good. I used it today in wet and windy London and it has not flipped inside out or given any problems. The increased number of spokes means that it is firm and protects well against wind and rain. One disadvantage of this is that if it is very windy it can be hard to hold on to. The handle is wooden and nice but would prefer something sturdier in the handle. Nonetheless it is an excellent umbrella for the price. You’d need to spend considerably more for minimal upgrades in luxury. You won’t find anything at this price which works better.

I bought this umbrella just before visiting Scotland. We have stayed there about 7 days. The weather was ok but it caught us when We were trekking . All the sudden rain and wind , luckily I was carrying the umbrella. The wind was very strong . I wasn’t sure that the umbrella could survive. It did. We were almost top of a very high hill . This is a very elegant umbrella, the fabric section and the mechanism is very strong and well built but is flawed. It lacks a grub screw or something of that effect so the actually umbrella part under strong wind can actually move down the shaft of the umbrella. I bought this umbrella almost two years ago and it was working perfectly fine even in windy weather conditions. It has a large diameter therefore protects almost entire body from the rain and is also great for couples.Unfortunately in February it broken down from heavy wind (the main rod and supporting trusses buckled). I contacted the Royal Walk Umbrellas and they replaced my broken umbrella with new one. The entire process was very quick and extremely friendly. I can only recommend this company. Sturdy yet lightweight, this is perhaps the best umbrella I have ever had. However, the plastic knob on the shoulder strap has sharp edges left over from the fabrication process. The same goes with three of the brass/copper pin that connects the stretcher and the rib, so sometimes two ribs interlock. I fixed them easily with a pair of pliers, but this might be a problem for future buyers who do not have access to hand tools.

Having owned/used various umbrella types in my lifetime, I can honestly say this is the best. Collapsible ones are great for saving space but aren’t particularly good at keeping you dry in a downpour. Golf umbrellas are great for two of you but, well, look a bit naff if you’re not on a golf course.The Royal Walk umbrella is light enough to carry, especially in its own case with shoulder strap, opens easily at the touch of a button and is plenty big enough to keep me and my wife dry or, if we’re pushing our grandchild in a pushchair, keeps most of the rain off us all. Well, it looks nicely built and it’s a big umbrella but certainly it’s not sturdy or stormproof or windproof as you’ll find out with the recent storms. It went all inside out one morning but luckily as I turned the opposite direction the wind made it recover the normal shape. The first one of these that I purchased had a roll pin missing from one of the lifting ribs so basically one of the short arms just flopped about. I returned it for a refund. But on researching various models around I decided to give this one another go hoping that it was just a one off fault. The next one arrived and of course I checked all the roll pins which seemed to be fine on this new one. I am not a big fan of roll pins and prefer solid rivets. I understand why roll pins are used in order to keep the weight down. This being a large umbrella obviously benefits from reduced weight.I find the umbrella just slightly too long to act as a walking stick but again that is a trade off for having such a large canopy. The large canopy is exactly what I was looking for so no argument there.The fabric appears to be of a good quality and obviously has a waterproofing quality as the water beads quite well.The automatic opening also works quite well as does the manual closing latch which engages easily. A quick spin and most of the rain water shakes off.When extended the fabric is tight and covers two people comfortably. I can’t really comment on the wind capability because what little wind I experienced did not seem to be a problem even though it is a big umbrella.Overall a good buy

So i researched the best most strong and bigish umbrella – and royal walk was clearly my answer. really solid umbrella – looks really good and is just really stong and feel very safe with it. looks very smart and classy i think. But what really stands out is the sellers (Primazon) costomer service. My umbrella broke – was still usable but not perfect. i think the breaking might of even been my fault – but not sure… i emailed them as i know it came with a warranty and told them this – and they sent me a new one for free and let me keep the old one aswell! Emma form Primazon was the most helpful person ever – sooo easy to deal with and i was just blown away by the costomer service! it literally was better than some of the most poshest and most expensive designer brands!! i am soooo greatful! thank you!! The umbrella is automatic openeing but does not shoot right open when pressing the button which is a good safety feature. It opens about a quarter, allowing you to fully open it manually so that it would not possible catch a bystander. It is a very good size but neat and effective.

It looked good and sturdy at first but i almost didn’t use it in the summer and autumn 2021 as i was working mostly from home. I have started going to office at the start of the 2022 and after abt 2 weeks the metal tip came off along with the metal stop that holds the canope module in place. So it moves up and down the main pole and believe it will come off if use it any further. I cannot return it now since i purchased a while back and quite upset with the quality.

We were extremely impressed with this umbrella. The first opportunity we had to use it was a windy and very wet day which would have been a test for any umbrella. This one passed with flying colours. The fact that it seems to have double the number of spokes immediately gives it strength and unlike the other large umbrellas I have owned in the past, this one felt solid and secure. The build quality is great, it is stylish and well made. The other very impressive feature is how quickly it dried after the rain. Our other umbrella remained wet for a long time, but the Royal Walk dried incredibly quickly.Overall, this was a great find and I would happily recommend to all.

I don’t write many reviews but this product is total shambles. I bought it since i left my long term umbrella on a train. It looked good and sturdy at first but i almost didn’t use it in the summer and autumn 2021 as i was working mostly from home. I have started going to office at the start of the 2022 and after abt 2 weeks the metal tip came off along with the metal stop that holds the canope module in place. So it moves up and down the main pole and believe it will come off if use it any further. I cannot return it now since i purchased a while back and quite upset with the quality.

The umbrella is good. I used it today in wet and windy London and it has not flipped inside out or given any problems. The increased number of spokes means that it is firm and protects well against wind and rain. One disadvantage of this is that if it is very windy it can be hard to hold on to. The handle is wooden and nice but would prefer something sturdier in the handle. Nonetheless it is an excellent umbrella for the price. You’d need to spend considerably more for minimal upgrades in luxury. You won’t find anything at this price which works better.

My pitiful travel umbrella which could neatly fit inside my winter coat pocket broke due to strong winds and I decided it was time to transition to a real umbrella seeing as I walk 2 miles to and from work every day and naturally do not want to get wet, especially since it rains a lot in England. If the wind is really strong sometimes I do have trouble trying to control the umbrella, but that’s natural physics, right? I have owned many umbrellas over the years. Maximum life span has been about 2 years as eventually a strong gust of wind breaks the umbrella. This one is exceptionally sturdy with lots of struts and it will weather a gale. In spite of the extra struts it is not too clunky and retains the classic umberella shape. It is stylish and drys much quicker than any of my previous umbrella. It’s a great quality product and less expensive than many rivals. If looking for a gents umbrella it’s a no brainer.

Sturdy yet lightweight, this is perhaps the best umbrella I have ever had. However, the plastic knob on the shoulder strap has sharp edges left over from the fabrication process. The same goes with three of the brass/copper pin that connects the stretcher and the rib, so sometimes two ribs interlock. I fixed them easily with a pair of pliers, but this might be a problem for future buyers who do not have access to hand tools.

This looks a quality product online, however, anyone with attention to detail and an eye for quality will know it’s a poor to average umbrella. The stitching is frayed at various locations, I’ve had to take scissors to it, a matter of time before the stitching will part. The handle doesn’t feel solidly bonded to the shaft, I imagine they used as little glue as possible during the manufacturing process. I predict nothing more than a years use out of this umbrella before it has to be binned.

Well, it looks nicely built and it’s a big umbrella but certainly it’s not sturdy or stormproof or windproof as you’ll find out with the recent storms. It went all inside out one morning but luckily as I turned the opposite direction the wind made it recover the normal shape. I had a Fulton stormshield one, also big enough for two unfortunately I left it on a train but that’d be my next umbrella again. This one won’t survive Jorge or whatever the name of the current storm happens to be.

Having gone through a large number of umbrellas which cost £1 and lasted less than 5 minutes (literally) I decided to fork out for a decent umbrella for dog walking. This umbrella is excellent and far exceeded my expectations. The quality and strength are exceptional. Two people can easily fit under it and stay dry. It hasn’t shown any sign of attempting to turn inside out yet. It is however a little bit heavier than other umbrellas I’ve had, but then again it’s not made of paper and dried grass either! Its definitely good with moderate winds, but with stronger winds I had to hold it against the wind as I was worried that it might break. I have 2 kids and we broke so many umbrellas already I stopped counting them… And all of them claimed to be sturdy but after the 3rd use, there is already something wrong… Either it close mechanism or something else brakes. BUT after I bought Royal walk really big umbrella I don’t have such problems!Actually several really heavy rains happened right after I bought it and it acted GREAT! The last time I had to take my kid to kinder garden and it started pouring outside while I was driving. When I stopped not really close to the garden I opened the umbrella and took my little girl and she was carrying the umbrella. Durability will be measured in more than a few months of a purchase but I can say this product has already been useful where I work. A lot of rain recently.It’s certainly a stylish umbrella.I would imagine a hurricane beats it but in normal windy conditions it should suffice.

It’s a typical umbrella. Twice I’ve used it in strong winds and twice it survived. It’s sturdy enough to be used as a makeshift walking stick if in trouble, and it’s large enough to cover you and a back pack. Not big enough for two to share unless your both skinny. Good buy, nice investment piece.

This is an amazing well built umbrella. I did have an issue with the umbrellas holder strap coming away from it stitching an nothing to do with the operation of the umbrella.I reported this back to Royal Walk and was immediately in contact with Emma from Royal Walk who was very sympathetic to my issue and reminded me that the umbrella has a 2 year warranty ( make sure you register) it.And within 4 days I received a replacement umbrella and a letter of sincere apologies.The way my issue was dealt with by Emma need to be told. I would not hesitate to tell anyone just how impressed I am with the Umbrella and the back up from the company.Don’t delay get one today you won’t be disappointed.

This umbrella definitely covers two persons. It opens immediately, no fiddling with catches and you do not get wet. There are more supports than normal which makes this a sturdy well made product.

This is the most amazing umbrella. It is windproof, which here in the UK is so important at times, due to the extra braces on the umbrella. We had got fed up with our previous umbrellas blowing inside out and the braces breaking that when we saw this umbrella we had to buy it. We were so pleased with it that even though it could cover me and my wife we bought a second one so that we had one each.

I bought this umbrella in late 2020, and after about 8 months of usage, it stopped opening – that is the only reason for my giving four stars in place of five.A while later (as I forgot about it in the warmer weather, when an umbrella wasn’t needed), I contacted Primazon, knowing that I had bought the umbrella with a two-year warranty. Their customer service representative (Emma) was incredibly helpful, and polite, and ensured that once I’d activated my warranty (for this, I think I had to give my original order number – it was a very simple process, anyway), I received a new umbrella, free from additional costs.Owing to difficulties with inventory (I presume stemming from the current issues with the international supply chain), from my first E-mail to my getting the replacement umbrella, about six weeks elapsed – but I can’t blame Primazon for this! In an ideal world, it’d have been nice to have been updated (as I was told originally that it would take about five days for my umbrella to come), but when I reached out again, a little over a month later, and enquired, Emma was again very helpful, and told me how long it’d take.I would recommend this umbrella to any prospective buyer – it stands up very well to the strongest of winds; it’s very large; and you’re safe in the knowledge that if something does happen, you can get a new one very easily.

Very pleased with brolly. Its a good size for two people just as advertised. Have not used in wind yet o cannot comment on that. I do not think it is strong enough to use as walking stick which I would have liked a it is fairly long. I don’t think it would take me putting any weight on it too often. However, it is a damned good brolly and I am well pleased.

Was happy with the first impression, then I had one night where it rained and I had to use it. Unfortunately there was a light wind as you can expect in London’s central and the umbrella turned inside out and the pins bent so it’s unrepairable. It was too late to return it so basically I just wasted my money. If there is any sort of wind where you are, not strong wind, just normal wind that accompanies rain, don’t get it as it will likely end up the same way mine did, in the trash after only a couple uses.

So i researched the best most strong and bigish umbrella – and royal walk was clearly my answer. really solid umbrella – looks really good and is just really stong and feel very safe with it. looks very smart and classy i think. But what really stands out is the sellers (Primazon) costomer service. My umbrella broke – was still usable but not perfect. i think the breaking might of even been my fault – but not sure… i emailed them as i know it came with a warranty and told them this – and they sent me a new one for free and let me keep the old one aswell! Emma form Primazon was the most helpful person ever – sooo easy to deal with and i was just blown away by the costomer service! it literally was better than some of the most poshest and most expensive designer brands!! i am soooo greatful! thank you!! Trust me – who ever reads this – this is the umbrella to get – and this is most Definitely the company/seller to get it from! good luck!

Although the material is quite thin and lets the light through, it does appear to keep the rain out. So far it’s withstood the winds. It does take a while to dry. The ribs are fairly flexible. It is a very smart umbrella and the cover is ever so convenient & practical, preventing you from carrying & losing it.
