I have owned many umbrellas over the years. Maximum life span has been about 2 years as eventually a strong gust of wind breaks the umbrella. This one is exceptionally sturdy with lots of struts and it will weather a gale. In spite of the extra struts it is not too clunky and retains the classic umberella shape. It is stylish and drys much quicker than any of my previous umbrella. It’s a great quality product and less expensive than many rivals. If looking for a gents umbrella it’s a no brainer.

I have been using the umbrella for over a year. It does protect well against strong wind and rain. Recently I noticed broken spoke and immediately received a replacement under 2 year guarantee. The customer service is excellent. It was delivered very fast.

Sturdy yet lightweight, this is perhaps the best umbrella I have ever had. However, the plastic knob on the shoulder strap has sharp edges left over from the fabrication process. The same goes with three of the brass/copper pin that connects the stretcher and the rib, so sometimes two ribs interlock. I fixed them easily with a pair of pliers, but this might be a problem for future buyers who do not have access to hand tools.

I don’t write many reviews but this product is total shambles. I bought it since i left my long term umbrella on a train. It looked good and sturdy at first but i almost didn’t use it in the summer and autumn 2021 as i was working mostly from home. I have started going to office at the start of the 2022 and after abt 2 weeks the metal tip came off along with the metal stop that holds the canope module in place. So it moves up and down the main pole and believe it will come off if use it any further. I cannot return it now since i purchased a while back and quite upset with the quality.

I prefer umbrellas with wooden handle a lot more than rubber coated handle as I found that they are more easy to maintain. It’s because I found that dirt and dust always stick to the rubber coated handles. I purchase this umbrella to replace the Fulton Knightsbridge 2 which I have left at a cafe accidentally as I couldn’t find an alternative from Fulton with similar size and wooden handle.It comes with very well packaging. The 16 ribs structure looks sturdy. I haven’t tested it in windy weather yet. But it is definitely enough for covering 2 adults in rain. However, I believe that the wooden handle might need some improvement. It looks great. Unfortunately, scratches start to appear on it just after the first use. It has never fell on to the floor. And it didn’t happened on the Fulton Shoreditch umbrella which I have used for a few years. I really love this umbrella in terms of its appearance and structure. Made in E.U. (as the seller mentioned) is another advantage. The wooden handle is the only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5.

This is one large umbrella! Seems to be very good quality and sturdy (haven’t had to use it in a storm yet). Not the lightest but it’s a walking umbrella so the weight is to be expected and makes it seem more upmarket. Handy carrying sheath has a shoulder strap which is really good idea. Well, it looks nicely built and it’s a big umbrella but certainly it’s not sturdy or stormproof or windproof as you’ll find out with the recent storms. It went all inside out one morning but luckily as I turned the opposite direction the wind made it recover the normal shape. I had a Fulton stormshield one, also big enough for two unfortunately I left it on a train but that’d be my next umbrella again. This one won’t survive Jorge or whatever the name of the current storm happens to be.

The locking mechanism allowing you to shut the umbrella fell off somewhere during its third or fourth use. Can only close umbrella by wrapping it up (soaking wet) and fastening the velcro fastener to furl it. Very poor.

Good umbrella, unfortunately the mechanism on mine has broken despite avoiding being rough with it. When it’s not tied up the spring makes the umbrella pop up and the mechanism doesn’t hold it in place any more. This is really irritating and if it had broke within the warranty period I would have sent it back.Otherwise it is a really good umbrella and very resistant to strong wind. Also very smart, just a shame that it broke.

Simple to open and close and also folds easily . Quick to dry. The one complaint was the cover /carry bag stitching came away after first time trying to put the umbrella in (the strap just came away). I fixed it myself, wasn’t worth the time emailing or returning. But the brolly a perfect size to keep rain well off. Not tested in high winds yet. Fingers crossed.

It is a well put together umbrella, but there’s nothing extraordinary about it. I had hoped there might be something a little more innovative in terms of materials or design features, it wasn’t cheap, after all. But all the components are basically the same as have been in umbrellas for a long time now, some of them are weak points that will, in my experience, fail in certain circumstances, but I don’t know what the solution is. Yet. It’s got a two year guarantee, which is some comfort.

Not as sturdy as I expected, and the wooden handle both looks, and feels, rather more like plastric — mine has a very dark, almost black handle, which is like smooth plastic rather the nice varnished brown wood in the illustration.As an umbrella, I’ve yet to try it. It is large so if you want something to use in busy streets it might not be the right umbrella for you. However becaise if that you can share between two and both keep properly dry

Real shame. Bought this umbrella to stop buying all the umbrellas that break with the slightest touch of wind. Went for more expensive for strength.The umbrella design is very good, it is light and comfortable and definitely stong enough to tackle strong winds.The fault is in the handle and pole – it is rather weak and has completely broke after not many uses – disappointed as I thought with the price it would last longer.

I like the fact that the Royal walker umbrella has 16 ribs, really strong construction & has a very comfortable handle. I havn’t used it that much but when I did it was during really windy and wet weather. Its definitely good with moderate winds, but with stronger winds I had to hold it against the wind as I was worried that it might break. It didn’t break, but because of that I dont really know how windproof it is. I found it to be heavier that other umbrellas I had, but that’s probably because of how well built it is.

The many ribs contribute to the sturdiness of this umbrella. On occasion I though a high gust of wind would invert it, as has with other umbrellas I have owned, instead I had to hang on contemplating Mary Poppins moments and watching as the ribs flexed and coped amiably. Did wonder if a vent at the top would help with that. Very satisfied with it as is the wife. The canopy is large enough to shield us both under what she calls an um-zebo. (umbrella-Gazebo)

This is an amazing well built umbrella. I did have an issue with the umbrellas holder strap coming away from it stitching an nothing to do with the operation of the umbrella.I reported this back to Royal Walk and was immediately in contact with Emma from Royal Walk who was very sympathetic to my issue and reminded me that the umbrella has a 2 year warranty ( make sure you register) it.And within 4 days I received a replacement umbrella and a letter of sincere apologies.The way my issue was dealt with by Emma need to be told. This is the most amazing umbrella. It is windproof, which here in the UK is so important at times, due to the extra braces on the umbrella. We had got fed up with our previous umbrellas blowing inside out and the braces breaking that when we saw this umbrella we had to buy it. We were so pleased with it that even though it could cover me and my wife we bought a second one so that we had one each.

It’s a typical umbrella. Twice I’ve used it in strong winds and twice it survived. It’s sturdy enough to be used as a makeshift walking stick if in trouble, and it’s large enough to cover you and a back pack. Not big enough for two to share unless your both skinny. Good buy, nice investment piece.

Really excited about this brolly. You can see the quality of this brolly, the fibre ribs are very close together and flexible, which will obviously make it more durable especially in windy conditions, they are also firmly attached to the canopy. The canopy is of a decent size, will shelter two without being a thorough nuisance to other pedestrians. The handle is of good quality and firmly attached. The cover is also well made with a convenient shoulder strap. Finally, this is surprisingly light for a large umbrella.

The umbrella is good. I used it today in wet and windy London and it has not flipped inside out or given any problems. The increased number of spokes means that it is firm and protects well against wind and rain. One disadvantage of this is that if it is very windy it can be hard to hold on to. The handle is wooden and nice but would prefer something sturdier in the handle. Nonetheless it is an excellent umbrella for the price. You’d need to spend considerably more for minimal upgrades in luxury. You won’t find anything at this price which works better.

It’s great for dog walking I made my own shoulder strap and take it with me on those days when I don’t want to wear full waterproofs (thus getting too hot) but your your not sure if you may get caught in a shower …. large enough to protect my little dog ( she hates rain)

Great Umbrella! Received this in mid-January and have had plenty of opportunity o use it during a wet February. This umbrella is tall with a large canopy very suitable for 2 people. It is lightweight but yet you appreciate how sturdy this is during wind and rain.. it’s not an umbrella that will blow inside out. It comes with a sleeve with handle to cover when not in use and has a sturdy steel tip of the top of the umbrella.
